1 inch thust bearing is a dynamic pressure bearing. To make the bearing work normally, the following conditions should be met:
1. Lubricating oil has a viscosity;
2. There is a relative velocity between moving and stationary bodies.
3. The two surfaces in relative motion are tilted to form an oil wedge;
4. The external load is within the prescribed range;
5. An adequate amount of oil.
Check 1 inch thust bearing after installation
When installing 1 inch thust bearing, the perpendicularity of shaft ring and shaft center line should be tested. The method is to fix the dial gauge on the end face of the case, make the contact head of the gauge rotate the 1 inch thust bearing on the raceway above the bearing shaft ring, and observe the dial gauge pointer.
If the pointer is skewed, it means that the shaft ring and the shaft center line are not perpendicular.
When the 1 inch thust bearing is installed correctly, its seat can automatically adapt to the rolling of the rolling body to ensure that the rolling body is located in the raceway of the upper and lower rings. If the installation is reversed, not only the bearing does not work normally, but also the mating surface will be seriously worn. Because the difference between the shaft ring and the seat ring is not very obvious, extra care should be taken in the assembly. In addition, there should be a gap of 0.2-0.5mm between the seat ring of the 1 inch thust bearing and the shaft bearing seat hole to compensate for the error caused by inaccurate parts processing and installation. When the center of the bearing ring is offset in operation, this gap can ensure its automatic adjustment to avoid contact friction and make it run normally.
