6304 nr bearing is single row deep groove ball bearing,it is open type with snap ring groove on outer ring.Inside diameter: 20 mm,Outer diameter: 52 mm,  
Thickness: 15 mm.  
The purpose of 6304 nr ball bearings is to determine the relative position of two parts (usually shaft and bearing seat) and ensure their free rotation, while transmitting the load between them.  
At high speeds (such as in gyro ball bearings), this use can be extended to include free rotation with almost no wear in the 6304 nr bearings.  In order to achieve this state, the two parts of the bearing can be separated by an adhesive fluid film called an elastohydrodynamic lubrication film.  

Denhard pointed out that the elastohydrodynamic lubrication film can be maintained not only when the bearing is subjected to loads on the shaft, but also when the 6304 nr bearing is subjected to preloading so that the shaft positioning accuracy and stability do not exceed 1 microinch or 1 nanoinch.  
How to chose clearance for 6304 nr bearing?  
The following points should be considered when selecting the most suitable clearance according to the use conditions:  
(1) The mating of the 6304 nr bearing with the shaft and the housing leads to the change of clearance.  
(2) When the bearing is working, the change of clearance is caused by the temperature difference between the inner and outer rings.  

(3) The material used for shaft and housing affects the change of bearing clearance because of the different expansion coefficient.   
For bearings working under special conditions, such as high temperature, high speed, low noise, low friction and other requirements, radial clearance of the auxiliary group can be selected.  Select smaller radial clearance for precision bearings, machine tool spindle bearings, etc.
