Maintenance and replacement tips for bearing 204

Bearing 204 is to electric vehicles what bone joints are to us. During the driving of electric vehicles, the safety of bearings is greatly related to the safety factor of our riding. For electric vehicles, the greater the power, the higher the safety requirements for bearings. If the bearings are accidentally damaged or used improperly during driving, they must be repaired in time, because this is related to our life safety in the later riding.

Bearing 204 is an important component of electric vehicles. Its main function is to support the mechanical rotating body, reduce the friction coefficient during its movement, and ensure its rotation accuracy.

According to the different friction properties of moving elements, bearings can be divided into two categories: rolling bearings and sliding bearings. Among them, rolling bearings have been standardized and serialized, but compared with sliding bearings, their radial dimensions, vibrations and noises are larger, and the price is also higher.

Damage of bearing 204:

1. The quality of bearing 204 itself is not up to standard, and the material is poor!

2. Bearing 204 is exposed to the outside and has poor sealing, which is easy to get into water, such as the right side bearing of the front wheel; the bearing inside the motor without brake end cover) and the oil seal are damaged. When in contact with water, the grease in the bearing will be washed away, resulting in poor lubrication and rust, increasing friction and causing the bearing to be worn out and "fall apart".

3. If the wheel is severely impacted or the shaft is not hard enough to bend and deform, the bearing 204 will be biased during operation, which will grind the "inner circle" and "outer circle", causing the bearing to be unevenly stressed and damaged!

4. The machining accuracy of the bearing 204 hole is not accurate and out of round, the bearing is slightly deformed, and the friction during operation increases, resulting in premature wear and "death in battle" of the bearing!

When bearing 204 is excessively damaged, the wheel will tilt, which will cause the vehicle to deviate during driving. This is because the bearing's bearing capacity in a certain direction decreases, making it difficult for the electric vehicle to control its direction during driving. In more serious cases, the wheel may fall off. If the vehicle is in a high-speed driving state at this time, the consequences will be disastrous, so it is very necessary to replace the damaged bearing in time.

Replacement precautions:

1. Check the end cover oil seal when changing bearing 204. If the oil seal is not sealed well, please replace it together!

2. There is little or even no lubricating oil in the factory bearing 204. Please pry open the bearing oil seal and add lubricating oil appropriately!

3. If there is a loose hole of bearing 204, the wheel rim or motor end cover should be replaced for safety considerations!

4. After the bearing 204 is installed, please suspend the wheel and check whether the wheel runs flexibly and smoothly, and whether there is any effort or jamming. If so, the bearing may not be installed in place. Please reinstall it! Otherwise, it will sweep the hall, run inflexibly, and force the bearing to be "paralyzed" again soon!

5. Tell customers to try not to ride in places with water to avoid water ingress and rust.

After a long period of grinding, bearing 204 is easily damaged, turning is not smooth, and turning makes abnormal noises. It is mostly caused by pressure bearings. Repair it as soon as possible to avoid small problems turning into big faults.
