SNL bearing plummer block housing details

There are SNL200, SNL500, SNL300, and SNL600 series of bearing plummer block housings, the most popular in a wide range of bearing housing series. Because of their multiple uses, it is rarely necessary to use custom bearing seats for specific applications. The bearing seat is split horizontally, and there are two or four connecting bolt holes on the base.

The basis of the SNL vertical bearing plummer block  housing system is a number of housings of the same design but of different sizes. By combining these bearing plummer block housings with different standard seals, a variety of housing types that belong to the standard series can be supplied. SNL bearing plummer block housings can provide shaft diameters ranging from 20 to 160 mm.

The base of the SNL bearing plummer block housing is reinforced by ribs around the connecting bolt holes and additional materials to improve the condition of the support on the base plate. The connecting bolts can be pre-loaded for better fixing and cannot deform the base of the bearing seat or the bearing seat hole.

The scope of supply of SNL bearing plummer block housings includes a series of bearing housings of different sizes but with the same design. They can be used together with a variety of standard seals and can be used under different working conditions and environments. SNL bearing plummer block housings are suitable for applications with shaft diameters between 20 and 160 mm.

SNL bearing housing adds some supporting parts and wall thickness around the connecting bolt hole to make the bottom of  bearing plummer block housing stronger. Therefore, the connecting bolts can be locked tighter to improve the positioning ability, and can prevent the bearing seat from being deformed due to excessive force.

There are two connecting bolt holes on the base of the standard SNL bearing housings. bearing plummer block housings with sizes 511-609 or above can be provided with four connecting bolt holes, code-named FSNL..NM. These larger housings can also be provided with a design without connecting bolt holes, code-named SSNLD, and users can process them according to the needs of the application. These bearing plummer block housings are made of ductile iron.

As the base of the SNL bearing housing adds some supporting parts, it also increases the surface area between the base and the supporting surface, so a larger amount of heat can be taken away from the bearing.

Standard SNL bearing plummer block housings are equipped with grease nipple to facilitate maintenance personnel to replenish grease. There are also some cast marks on the  bearing seat, which is convenient for users to add other grease nipple to supplement the lubrication of bearings or seals.
