The installation of the double row tapered roller bearing must be carried out in a dry, clean environment. Before installation, the machining quality of the mating surfaces of the shaft and the housing, the end faces of the shoulders, the grooves and the connecting surfaces should be carefully checked. All mating surfaces must be carefully cleaned and deburred, and unmachined surfaces of castings must be free of sand.
Double row tapered roller bearing should be cleaned with gasoline or kerosene before installation, used after drying, and ensure good lubrication. Bearings are generally lubricated with grease or oil. When using grease lubrication, the grease with excellent performance such as no impurities, anti-oxidation, anti-rust and extreme pressure should be used. The filling amount of grease is 30%-60% of the bearing and bearing housing volume, and should not be too much. The double row tapered roller bearing with sealed structure and the water pump shaft bearing have been filled with grease, which can be directly used by the user and cannot be cleaned again.
When installing the double row tapered roller bearing, it is necessary to apply equal pressure on the circumference of the end face of the ferrule to press the ferrule in, and do not directly hit the end face of the bearing with tools such as hammer heads to avoid damage to the bearing. In the case of a small amount of interference, the end face of the bearing ring can be pressed with a sleeve at room temperature, and the sleeve can be hit with a hammer head to press the ring evenly through the sleeve. If installed in large quantities, hydraulic presses can be used. When pressing in, it should be ensured that the end face of the outer ring and the end face of the shoulder of the shell, and the end face of the inner ring and the end face of the shaft shoulder are pressed tightly, and no gap is allowed.
When the interference is large, it can be installed by oil bath heating or inductor heating bearing method. The heating temperature range is 80℃-100℃, and the maximum cannot exceed 120℃. At the same time, tighten the bearing with nuts or other suitable methods to prevent the bearing from shrinking in the width direction after cooling and causing a gap between the ring and the shaft shoulder.
