Eccentric cam bearing is a type of bearing, generally used in automobile camshafts (shafts that control the opening and closing actions of piston engine valves)
Structural features of eccentric bearing:
1.Combined structure of needle roller bearings and bolts with thick outer ring .
2.Metric series and inch series.
3.Lubrication channels are set in the eccentric cam bearing bolts.
4. For the convenience of installation, there are "one-line" and "hexagonal-hole" wrenches at the big end of the eccentric cam bearing.
5. The outer surface of the outer ring has a cylindrical shape and a spherical shape, which can be selected according to the actual application.
6. Full roller type is suitable for occasions with large load and low speed
7.Eccentric type can easily and accurately adjust the axis position of the bolt when installing the eccentric cam bearing.
Adjustment of eccentric cam bearing axial clearance
The axial clearance of the camshaft should meet the relevant regulations. The inspection method is shown in the figure. The thickness gauge can be used to measure the thickness difference between the thrust flange and the spacer. When the thrust flange wears and the axial clearance exceeds the specified value, the standard thickness of the thrust flange should be replaced. The thickness of the spacer must not be arbitrarily thinned. Otherwise, the axial position of the cam will be changed and the accuracy of the gas distribution phase will be affected.
The oil pump drive gear on the camshaft should be repaired if the tooth surface is rough or the tooth surface wear exceeds 0.50mm. Individual gear teeth are damaged. Without affecting the use, eccentric cam bearing is allowed to continue using after sharpening off the acute angle.
