Flat cam follower is a type of bearing, commonly used in automobile camshafts (the shaft that controls the opening and closing of the valves in piston engines).
Structural characteristics of cam follower:

The axial clearance of the flat cam follower should comply with the relevant regulations. The inspection method is as shown in the attached drawing. The thickness difference between the thrust flange and the spacer can also be measured directly.When thrust flange wear makes shaft.

When the clearance exceeds the provisions, the thrust flange of the standard thickness should be replaced. The thickness of the spacer should not be reduced arbitrarily. Otherwise, the axial position of the CAM will be changed and the accuracy of the distribution phase will be affected.
Maintenance of flat cam follower:
Check the camshaft bending degree.With both ends of the journal as the fulcrum, the radial runout can not dry 0.03mm, over 0.1omm, can be corrected by cold pressure correction method.
