Precautions for using and installing forklift carriage bearings
1、 Keep forklift carriage bearings and their surrounding environment clean
Even invisible smiling dust entering forklift bearings can increase the wear, vibration, and noise of IKO bearings.
2、 Be careful when installing forklift carriage bearings
Strong stamping is not allowed, direct impact on forklift bearings with a hammer is not allowed, and pressure transmission through rolling elements is not allowed.
3、 Use appropriate and accurate installation tools
Try to use specialized tools and avoid using fabrics and short fibers as much as possible.
4、 Prevent rusting of forklift carriage bearings
When taking forklift carriage bearings directly by hand, it is important to thoroughly wash off sweat from the hands and apply high-quality mineral oil before proceeding. Special attention should be paid to rust prevention during rainy and summer seasons.
However, under certain special operating conditions, forklift carriage bearings can achieve a longer lifespan than traditional calculations, especially under light loads. These special operating conditions are when the rolling surface (track and rolling parts) is effectively separated and limited by a lubricating oil film, which may cause surface damage caused by pollutants.
To lubricate the forklift carriage bearings, first open the cover plate and observe the wear of the release bearing. If it is confirmed that the bearing is not damaged or the wear is not exceeding the limit, remove the clutch pedal, adjust the top rod, and retract the release bearing and its seat to the last position. Use a pointed grease gun to add butter to the hole of the bearing seat until there is oil leakage from the bearing. Then, slightly rotate the bearing and add oil again. Repeat the above work until there is a little butter leakage around the bearing. Then, rotate the bearing and observe the amount of oil. If there is resistance to the rotation of the bearing, it indicates that the bearing is filled with butter. Then remove a small amount of grease that has overflowed from all parts of the separation bearing seat, and readjust the position of the separation bearing.
