What is high bearing temperature?

Bearings with working temperature higher than 120℃ are called high bearing temperature. High bearing temperature means that after high temperature tempering treatment of bearing rings and rolling elements, the working temperature can reach 150°～350° (see the code in the table below), but the hardness of the bearing is reduced. Imported high temperature resistant bearings can reach up to 980°. High bearing temperature is mainly used in aviation jet engines, atomic energy reactors, X-ray tubes, semiconductor component manufacturing equipment and various melting and plating equipment, etc.

High bearing temperature means that the working temperature of the bearing ring and rolling element can reach 150°~350° after high temperature tempering treatment. The codes are as follows:
/S0 The bearing ring is tempered at high temperature and the working temperature can reach 150°
/S1 The bearing ring is tempered at high temperature and the working temperature can reach 200°
/S2 The bearing ring is tempered at high temperature and the working temperature can reach 250°
/S3 The bearing ring is tempered at high temperature and the working temperature can reach 300°
/S4 The bearing ring is tempered at high temperature and the working temperature can reach 350°

High bearing temperature is widely used in high temperature working machinery such as metallurgy, kilns, glass, blast furnaces, and paint spraying equipment.
