The rear wheel hub bearing is one of the key parts of the automobile, which directly affects the comfort and safety of the vehicle. When the two cars are running normally, they are often affected by many factors, such as excessive wheel speed, impact caused by rough roads, raised pollutants and extreme temperatures, which will have some adverse effects on hub bearing, and will directly lead to the failure or locking of hub bearings. Once this kind of situation happens in the driving process, the two cars must stop immediately, otherwise it is easy to cause an accident.

First generation rear wheel hub bearing

The first generation rear wheel hub bearing is composed of double-row angular contact bearings, which has the advantages of simple structure and low cost, but it is relatively difficult to disassemble.

Second-generation rear wheel hub bearing

The second-generation rear wheel hub bearing unit has a flange on the outer raceway for fixing the bearing, which can simply put the bearing sleeve on the wheel shaft and fix it with a nut, making maintenance and replacement easy. For the second-generation hub bearing unit, please do not attempt to disassemble the hub bearing or adjust the sealing ring of the hub unit, otherwise the sealing ring will be damaged and water or dust will enter. Even the raceway of the sealing ring and the inner ring will be damaged, resulting in the failure of the bearing.

Third-generation rear wheel hub bearing

The third generation rear wheel hub bearing unit often adopts the bearing unit to cooperate with ABS. The hub unit is designed with an inner flange and an outer flange. The inner flange is fixed on the drive shaft by bolts, and the outer flange mounts the whole bearing together. There is a magnetic thrust ring in the sealing ring of the ABS device bearing, which can't be impacted, impacted or collided with other magnetic fields. Take them out of the box before installation, and keep them away from the magnetic field, such as the motor or power tools used. In order to determine which side of the thrust ring is installed, a light and small thing can be used to approach the edge of the bearing, and the magnetic force generated by the bearing will attract it. When installing, point the side with magnetic thrust ring to the inside, facing the sensitive element of ABS. Note: Improper installation operation may lead to the failure of the brake system.
