What is self lubrication bearing?

Self lubrication bearing can be roughly divided into three types from the structural type: composite type, dry film type and embedded type.

Composite self lubrication bearing is a bearing made by curing solid lubricant powder with resin, asphalt and other binders.

Dry film self lubrication bearing is a bearing that forms a layer of solid lubricating film on the sliding friction surface of the bearing by means of adhesive coating, sintering, electroplating, sputtering, chemical generation and other methods. The key is the friction reduction performance and service life of this dry film lubricating layer. It can be developed separately according to different working conditions.

The composite material used in the embedded self lubrication bearing is a new type of extreme pressure resistant solid lubricating material, which is composed of a metal substrate and a solid lubricant paste embedded in the holes or grooves of the substrate. During the friction process, the metal substrate bears most of the load. After friction, the solid lubricant in the holes or grooves is transferred to the friction surface or reversely transferred, forming a well-lubricated, firmly attached and evenly covered solid transfer film on the friction surface, which greatly reduces friction and wear. As the friction progresses, the embedded solid lubricant is continuously provided to the friction surface, ensuring good lubrication of the friction pair during long-term operation.

The embedded self lubrication bearing is currently the most widely used self-lubricating bearing. The product has been widely used in metallurgical continuous casting machines, rolling equipment, mining machinery, molds, lifting machinery, textile machinery, wind power generation, ships, steam turbines, water turbines, injection molding machines and equipment production lines. The wear resistance is twice that of ordinary bushings.
