Maintenance and care of steel pillow block bearing
The following points should be paid special attention to during the use of the pillow block bearing:
(1)Use of the steel pillow block bearing cooling system. When used correctly, the cooling water of the steel pillow block bearing not only prolongs the service life of the steel pillow block bearing, but also improves production efficiency. The material of the steel pillow block bearing is generally made of special bearing seat steel through various treatments. Even the best bearing seat steel has its limits, such as temperature.

(2) The pillow block bearing must be preheated at the beginning of production to prevent the cold bearing seat from suddenly encountering hot molten metal and causing cracks. More complex bearing seats can be preheated with a blowtorch, liquefied gas, and a mold temperature controller under good conditions.
(3) Cleaning the parting surface of the steel pillow block bearing is very troublesome and easy to overlook. The operator should thoroughly clean the parting surface of the bearing seat with kerosene. This can not only prevent the bearing seat from being squeezed, but also clear the exhaust groove on the bearing seat that is blocked by mold release agent residues or other dirt after cleaning.

(4) If the steel pillow block bearing is equipped with neutron control, it is absolutely forbidden to have a joint in the signal line between the die-casting machine and the bearing seat. The reason is very clear. In daily production, it is difficult to avoid water on the signal line, or the joint wrapping is easy to break, resulting in a short circuit with the machine tool. If a signal error occurs, the alarm will automatically stop and delay the machine, or the signal will be disordered, causing damage to the bearing seat.
