2.Working principle of tapered roller bearing components

It is often used in pairs and installed in reverse. The inner and outer race rings can be installed separately, and the radial and axial clearance can be adjusted during installation and use; The large cone angle is mainly used to withstand axial and radial combined loads, which are mainly axial loads, and is generally not separately used to withstand pure axial loads.
When the shaft is subjected to axial and radial loads, the rollers will roll on the inner and outer cone surfaces, thereby achieving bearing support and load transmission. Due to the design of the inner and outer cone surfaces, the bearing can withstand greater radial and axial loads. In addition, tapered roller bearings can also adjust the position of the inner and outer rings on their own to adapt to different loads and working conditions.
3. classification of tapered roller bearing components
A single row tapered roller bearing has an outer ring, and its inner ring and a set of tapered rollers are enclosed by a basket shaped cage as an inner ring assembly. The outer ring can be separated from the inner ring component
Usually, the cone angle of the outer race of a single row tapered roller bearing is between 10 ° and 19 °, and it can withstand both axial and radial loads simultaneously.
The outer ring of the double row tapered roller bearing is a whole. The two inner (or outer) rings have similar small end faces and a spacer ring in the middle. The clearance is adjusted by the thickness of the spacer ring, or the pre interference of the double row tapered roller bearing components can be adjusted by the thickness of the spacer ring.
Four row tapered roller bearings have the same performance as double row tapered roller bearings, but they bear greater radial loads and slightly lower limit speeds than double row tapered roller bearings. They are mainly used in heavy-duty machinery.
