The thrust ball bearing design is designed to withstand thrust loads at high speeds and consists of a washer-like ferrule with a rolling ball groove. Since the ferrule is cushion-shaped, the thrust ball bearing design is divided into two types: flat base cushion type and self-aligning spherical seat cushion type. In addition, this thrust ball bearing design can withstand axial loads but cannot withstand radial loads.
